Crystal Cruises launches its new Boeing 777: A luxurious and exclusive air cruise!
The Crystal Cruises cruise line has added a new vessel to its prestigious fleet this month.
But this is not the company’s traditional cruise … not even a luxury yacht! The ship is named Crystal Skye and is nothing less than a Boeing 777-200LR Worldliner aircraft.
Just as you read it. Now you can travel the world aboard a luxurious private jet courtesy of Crystal AirCruises.
“Crystal Skye perfectly complements everything Crystal has to offer: exclusive design and a personalized experience for all guests,” Crystal President and CEO Edie Rodriguez explained in a statement. “As a global luxury traveler, I have had the privilege of boarding some of the best aircraft in the world, and I can say that there is nothing like Crystal Skye.”
The interior of the Crystal Skye is the work of Greenpoint Technologies and the installation took place in Moses Lake, Washington.
“Our goal was to create a luxurious and elegant indoor area, like all Crystal cruise ships, yachts and river boats,” said Greenpoint Technologies Executive Vice President Bret Neely.
Crystal AirCruises is a subsidiary of the leisure travel giant Genting Hong Kon, and hopes to deploy the Boeing 777 as a flying cruiser and as a private charter for mega-rich, corporations and sports teams. The aircraft has a list price of $ 320.7 million (271.4 million euros).
Here are more details of this spectacular “air cruise”:
Two gigantic GE90 turbo engines make the aircraft capable of flying almost 9,500 miles non-stop.
The interior is simply elegant and luxurious, so that guests feel on board the most exclusive cruise ship.
At the front, occupants can enjoy a spacious lounge. The perfect place to have a drink and socialize.
The bar also functions as a dining room, with tables ideal for a dinner.
This is the bathroom…
And at the back of the plane is the entrance to the passenger cabin.
This luxurious cabin has space for 88 seats and each of these can be converted into a 70.5-inch bed.
Each seat is equipped with a 24-inch entertainment screen and free Wi-Fi.
Passengers even have access to a butler, as well as a full-time executive chef.
Crystal promises its passengers to live a high quality gastronomic experience (as never before!).
But nobody said it was cheap! According to some reports, enjoying a vacation aboard the Crystal Skye costs up to $ 159,000 (134,600 euros) per person for a trip around the world.
