This huge mansion in Beverly Hills, California is currently on the market for $80 million

A gigantic mega-mansion with 2,602 square meters [28,000 ft2] of living space has just made its grand appearance on the real estate market in Beverly Hills, California.

With an asking price of $80 million (67.1 million euros), this French chateau-inspired luxury mansion is one of the most expensive – and one of the largest – currently on the market in the United States.

The mansion is being sold by its current owner, Albert Elkouby, the CEO of JH Design, an apparel company that produces branded jackets for the NFL, NBA and Nascar. Elkouby originally purchased the 11-bedroom, 18-bathroom home, which sits on 1.54 acres, in 2008.

Two years ago, the residence was listed for sale for $72 million (€60 million) without being completed, but failed to sell. It was then taken off the market and the house and its landscape were finally completed.

“For two years, we just worked on the details,” said Elkouby’s daughter, Vered Nisim. “Every wall, floor, molding in the house has been done by hand. Just putting the wood floor in the grand ballroom took five to six months, because it’s hand-carved. We put, I would say, over $5 million into just some of the original finishes.”

Sam Real of Nest Seekers International is in charge of the sale. Check out just a few spaces of the stunning mansion located at 901 N Alpine Dr, Beverly Hills CA 90210.
