Hotel Jerome, an Auberge Resort
A main-street fixture for 123 years, Hotel Jerome has been a hub of Aspen’s social scene since the 19th-century mining days. This winter—after joining Auberge Resorts and closing for a four-and-a-half-month renovation—the ski town’s 93-room landmark unveiled a sleek new look that has helped return the property to its rightful place among Colorado’s finest hotels.
The cornerstone of the Jerome’s renovation is the revamped lobby, now called the Living Room, which provides a quiet, bar-like setting where guests can have drinks and tapas in cozy nooks outfitted with couches and reading chairs. Updated guest rooms feature clean, contemporary design schemes accented with furnishings, fixtures, and wallpaper reminiscent of the mining era. In the new presidential suite—which will soon come with unlimited use of a Mercedes-Benz—the bedrooms offer stunning views of Ajax Mountain.
To help guests enjoy the nearby slopes, the Jerome offers new ski-valet services and an in-house ski shop. Also new at the hotel are a gym and spa, a children’s center, and Prospect restaurant, which promises to be an Aspen social hub for years to come.
