Franck Darnet reveals the first interior images of the mega yacht Ocea X47 concept
French designer Franck Darnet, presented the first performances of interior design for the super yacht concept Ocea X47. They were developed by Michael Joubert Joubert-Nivelt Design before his death in 2016.
Ocean Independence calls the Ocea X47 “a true blue water yacht.” Joubert’s partner, Bernard Nivelt, says Joubert “a very elegant yacht designed for offshore and added his own personal touch, a thin, straight bow.”
The concept was first introduced in 2015 and said it would be made of an aluminum hull and superstructure under the standards Bureau Veritas. Franck Darnet of Darnet Design, also from France, created the contemporary interior design and customizable Ocea X47. He drew a clean, modern interior decoration which use light wood and white furnishings to create a fresh and relaxing atmosphere.
The open plan lounge has a sitting area with two large L-shaped sofa and occasional chairs. Later an area of more formal dining room allows 10 guests to enjoy a meal around a square table. Large square windows on both sides ensures that sufficient natural light may seep into the interior. The yacht would accommodate 12 guests and 11 crew.
Ocea X47 power would come from two powerful 1,300 hp Caterpillar engines that allow a maximum speed of 17 knots and a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 15 knots. For more information visit www.yachtharbour.com.
