Vision Maybach 6 Cabriolet: Mercedes-Benz’s ultra exclusive concept of a “yacht on wheels”
Attendees of the annual meeting of Pebble Beach (California), held on 20 August, witnessed the launch of Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet , a concept that represents the ultimate in luxury, exclusivity and innovation.
It is a convertible two-seater almost six meters in length that reinterprets classic design principles in an extreme way, with a very attractive sporty design that pays homage to the glorious “high automotive couture” exclusive handmade cabriolets.
The Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet is designed as an electric car with an integrated at the bottom of the bodywork which allows a range of over 500 km battery. This not only provides features typical performance of a supercar, but also a driving range of over 500 kilometers according to the NEDC.
The model offers 0-100 km / h (62 mph) in less than four seconds and maximum speed of 250 km / h (155 mph).
“The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet is the perfect embodiment of our design strategy,” said Gorden Wagener, Head of Design Daimler AG.
Elongated round rear cabin format reminiscent of an exclusive luxury yacht with nappa leather finishes high quality white glass yarns and woven fabric rose gold. Meanwhile, the wooden floor gives the feeling of being at sea and each individual button padding represents a Mercedes star illuminated in blue.
Undoubtedly, the designers of Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet have combined the tradition of the brand with a high-tech experience hitherto unknown in which it is worth noting the monstrous system load of 350 kW, which only needs five minutes to reach a range of 100 kilometers of additional autonomy.
