Ferrari had its 70th anniversary this year, and what better way to celebrate it than with a charity event in favor of more than 157 million children around the world.
On Saturday, September 9th, an exclusive LaFerrari Aperta auction was held during the “Leggenda e Passione” event organized by Ferrari and RM Sotheby’s. All revenues – €8.3 million ($10 million) – will go to the Save The Children Foundation, a non-governmental organization (NGO) that helps children in 120 countries and whose mission is “to give them the opportunity to live a dignified life, learn and be protected”.
LaFerrari Aperta is a limited edition model launched to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the world-renowned brand.
The incredible Rosso Fuoco metallic with double striped ‘Bianco Italia’ color metallized on the hood and the back adds a special touch to this amazing vehicle. While the interiors have been conceived in Alcantara black and carbon fiber with seats in red leather with seams of the same color.
On the technical side, LaFerrari Aperta is identical to the LaFerrari Coupe, with a 6.3-liter V12 engine, with a seven-speed gearbox and electric motor.
It is expected that the event will be registered as the auction of a single most important vintage car brand in history. Of course, to attend it was necessary to have a special invitation.
