Starting summer 2009, Mercedes-Benz will manufacture the limited-edition McLaren SLR roadsters named after famed Formula 1 racer and Mercedes driver Sir Stirling Moss. The new SLR Stirling Moss comes with 478-kW/650 hp and accelerates its V8 supercharged engine from standstill to 100 km/h in less than 3.5 seconds, and has a top speed of 350 km/h. adding a dash of elegance to the design, to make a unique sports car, the new Silver Arrow’s equipment is sophisticated and decidedly spartan, doing without both a roof and side windows. The exclusive 2009 Mercedes SLR Stirling Moss will come limited to 75 units only. It is priced at 750,000 euros or $1,100,000.
