BMW introduces its new sports car “Concept Z4” at Pebble Beach 2017

BMW arrived at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance this year to give fans a preview of its new Concept Z4 sports car.

The new concept is elegant interpretation of the German manufacturer of what should be the purebred sports car of the future.

The BMW Concept Z4 is more elegant, sporty and futuristic. Is still two seats, but is considerably lower than the last Z4 BMW stopped building a year ago.

The company suggests, however, that the Z4 Concept Car is one of the two seats more focused on the driver who has ever built:

“The BMW Concept Z4 is a total construction machine,” said Vice President BMW Group Design, Adrian van Hooydonk, in a statement. “Return car to the essentials it allows the driver to experience all the ingredients of driving pleasure with supreme candor. It is a total freedom on four wheels.”

The revolution begins at the front, where the Concept Z4 shows more aggressive shark nose from the original 6 Series. Air intakes are low and wide, and fog lights have their flagship stacked on top of each other.

Concept grill Z4 replaces the typical vertical louvers with a pattern of three-dimensional mesh may not reach production. It has traditional proportions that make the heart beat of any fan. Roll bars are integrated into a pair of tunnels that begin after the passenger compartment and sloping gently towards the rear of the car to echo some of the classic BMW cars.

The BMW Z4 is painted in a color BMW Frozen (mate), Orange Energy and tone that is repeated inside the car.

Most of the passenger side dashboard is covered in orange suede, but at the front of the driver is finished in black leather, as well as in the driver’s seat. The board is a compelling evolution of the current BMW interior design.

It is cleaner, but retains the familiar elements such as the iDrive knob control and vertical screen leaving the center console. The instrumentation is displayed by a TFT, with a speedometer in the direction of clockwise to the left and a tachometer counterclockwise to clockwise to the right.

The ultra sport steering wheel features a recessed center section and is equipped with red levers to operate the automatic transmission, which we hope is not the only choice of gearbox in car production.

Based only on the elegant appearance, the Z4 Concept will fit perfectly in Pebble Beach 2017, where it will share space with some of the most sought after cars in the world. BMW chose to focus on the design, and has not yet given no information engine under the hood.
