The 1815 Tourbillon Handwerkskunst watch is unparalleled. The masterpiece of the German manufacturer A. Lange & Söhne is the first timepiece to combine stop seconds for the tourbillon with the ZERO-RESET adjustment mechanism of the needles. The piece contains a meticulous craftsmanship with the seal of the German firm.

Handwerkskunst means “craft” in German. And it is that only the most exalted master watchmakers could be able to combine the 262 microcomponents present in the heart of the 1815 Tourbillon Handwerkskunst. It was made as a commemorative edition to the 200th anniversary of the birth of Ferdinand Adolph Lange. Displaying beautiful decorations and amazing surprises the most demanding mechanism, it has a power reserve of 72 hours.

The details on the engraving technique of this watch are rare. This wonder has just been presented on December 7 last year. The model is extraordinary not only for its exquisite design, but because it shows a combination of two patented mechanisms: the Zero-Reset function, created in 1997 by A. The etching technique applied to this watch uses a chisel especially designed for uniform fine grained surfaces.

The inner acute angles proved a major challenge for the artisans. It was a task that had to be performed with a single tool, owned by the master watchmakers of A. Lange & Söhne.
